We had an appraisal done by Hartung Appraisal and someone that was working on getting their appraiser license came out alone to do ours...(wish we had known that sooner). It came in really low and some of the comps pulled were over 30 miles from our house. This company is a horrible example of home appraisers. I know of another couple currently having issues with them also. They came in really low on the appraisal even though there was multiple offers on the house and marked things that are ridiculous. Recently had my home appraised by Hartung appraisal. Very disappointed in the results. He had an intern come to my location without supervision. The comps he did were not even close to the appearance of my home. One of the comps was for a complete fixer upper with almost 1000 less square feet. The appraisal said our kitchen was old and out of date. Which is completely false. We had our cabinets custom made and new appliances. He said our floors were in less than average condition.
