Spent a little over five months at Aileen O’Connor and it was transformational. From the moment I stepped into the house, until I left, I felt like I was living in a dorm with a bunch of my buddies. Very homelike. Very well maintained and well managed. This was my first time ever being in a halfway house and although the thought is scary, the experience was farthest from that. It was tough eating goodbye and even harder, walking away even if for a fresh start. I am thankful. 🥹

As a mother of a son who was incarcerated and later released into the care of The Aileen House, I cannot say enough positive things about this program, its atmosphere, or the incredible staff. From the very beginning, the staff treated my son with kindness, dignity, and genuine care. They were attentive to his individual needs and barriers, and they made sure I was included every step of the way—from his care plan to his discharge planning. Everything they said they would do for me, they did and then some. Everyone from the director to the staff were awesome. It was tough saying goodbye. I felt like I was leaving one home for my next. Definitely not what I expected. Thanks for keeping your word. Fred
