This place scammed me. I gave them my insurance card, and they made me pay a co-pay, but after meeting the doctor, I got a bill for over 300 dollars. Went here twice, so I'm probably paying for 2 walk-ins over 700 dollars. It all could have been prevented if they told me my insurance wasn't accepted out of state. The doctors seemed nice, but the management team is terrible, and the people at the desk are not very helpful at all. They also charge visits for 120 to 165 dollars WITHOUT INSURANCE. Pam at the front desk was wonderful, but I had a very unpleasant experience with another staff member seated behind her who makes the call to remind pt to bring the CD of last mamogram. When I explained that my mother was having difficulty obtaining her mammogram CD from a facility in another state due to a language barrier and health issues, the staff member approached me in an aggressive manner, as if ready for confrontation. I have been coming to Hartford Healthcare in Vernon for several years. I see a few providers in this building. I do need to say, of them all, the staff at this particular office at the front desk are the least friendly. I understand they are busy and probably deal with difficult personalities, as do I at my job, but not all patients are the same. We're not all rude or difficult.
