HORRIBLE experience! As a healthcare provider myself, I rarely write reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others. Stephen was completely unprofessional during my visit. He made inappropriate comments about my weight and incorrectly blamed my stress for my Premature Ovarian Insufficiency, dismissing my corrections and relevant research. If you also feel like everyone is "hysterical" about the covid-19 pandemic, Dr. Stephen Hart might just be the perfect doctor for you! He'll definitely let you know as he tells you through the mask he's wearing over his mouth but not his nose. Or he'll just not wear the mask at all, exclaiming that the years he's spent giving shots to travel-abroad students at UC Berkeley has made him an expert on indoor transmission of airborne viruses. Doctor Hart is one of the only decent, personable doctors in the Bay Area. I wish he would relocate to Pennsylvania so he could continue to be my primary care doctor.
I have been a patient of his for many years. He is very responsive via email and takes his time with me when I am in his office. Sadly, I have had a recent bout with cancer and he worked with me and my oncologist to help with side effects and overall health. I read in a review where a patient was upset that they were prescribed an antibiotic for a virus infection. I believe that he did you a favor as you should only get these for a bacterial infection. He is not one to over prescribe.
Horrible doctor! horrible person! should have his license taken away. I had a doctors appointment with him today at 220pm. my mother drove e to the appointment since I was sick. I was called to the doctors room at 240 pm, so my mother came with me to the room. He didn't diagnose my symptom he says I have a virus but didn't give me any anti biotics to fight it. I asked him about another symptom and he said no " I only give 10 min per patient". I BEG YOU NOT TO BE A PATIENT OF HIS!!
Seems nice enough, but you'll be better off seeing literally anyone else. Ive seen a lot of Doctors over the course of my life, and he is the worst that I've seen. Doesnt return phone calls. Unmotivated staff. Lack of compassion for patients. Has left me in a bind without meds more than once. Find a different doctor. Not worth risking your health with a bad doctor.
