It's been a struggle trying to find help. But I think the response from this man has been extremely discouraging to continue my search. Maybe good for someone who wants to talk a lot while being listened to in silence. His comments don't show interest in finding out more. If you don't feel understood & you tell him, nicely, he gets defensive. ?? He's intellectual, uncomfortable with helping someone open up their feelings, if this is not easy for them. He avoids important subjects by responding with silence, no interest expressed. uptight, distant, shallow, uncommunicative, mixed messages. He stops session at 45 minutes. compare.
