I had a wonderful experience here. Dr. Ja'Pel Sumpter is an amazing doctor. I had an emergency cesarean. She saved my life and the life of my son. I would recommend her to everyone. It felt like family here and if I become pregnant again this is the only place I will go to just to have the expertise of Dr. Sumpter. Overall, the staff is great and very welcoming. A very nice place to make you feel comfortable, especially if it is your first time being pregnant.
Dr. Sumpter is one of the most warm, personable doctors I've met in years. She took time with me, answered my questions...total comfort zone.
Hey, if you’re considering going to this gyno for basic care like a Pap smear or birth control, I sincerely discourage it. They do not have your personal best interest in mind. I’m 21 and I went in on 11/17/23 to do a Pap smear with Dr. Sumpter and had probably the worst experience possible for what could have been easily handled with much more care than what I was given.
