The Harris Practice has been my personal doctor for many years. I recently left them for my own well being. I was diagnosed with COVID double pneumonia this year. The PA did not handle my case properly. He did not put me on any antibiotics to fight the pneumonia and I came close to dying. I complained to the Harris management and nothing was done. The PA is still treating people. Recently, I needed a prescription refilled. I received promises for two days that it was being taken care of. It was never called into to ... read more
I became ill with COVID double pneumonia in January 2021. The PA did not put me on any antibiotics and I almost died. A second PA later put me on strong antibiotics which saved my life. I have tried to get the office to order my medicine refills but they failed to do so. The PA I had left and the office failed to assign me to a new one. It is a disorganized mess. I decided for my health sake to change doctors. I would not recommend this office to anyone.
Today was the second time I left after waiting for two hours. What an absolute nightmare this outfit is. I am firing my family doctor I have had for several years, and finding a new one. The first time I left, I told the receptionist I was leaving. She didn't seem to care. Today I was checked in, then sitting in the car waiting for 2 hours.
I have been a patient of his for about 20 years. He is an excellent doctor one of the best in my area. His practice has grown immensely over the last several years. Hence, when I was sick, I would usually see a PA. I did see Dr. Harris every 4 months for my regular checkups and script refills. The only real problem was getting return phone calls from a nurse. Waiting 2 to 3 days is unacceptable for me. I received a letter stating that his practice was no longer accepting my insurance. M. Byrd
I also am a patient at Harris Family Practice and I have the same problems. I have been a patient there for over 20years and can never get in touch with anyone when I have a question. When he was a smaller business, they had time to answer when you called, but now you hang on for almost an hour and still have to end up hanging up. Several people are getting fed up with their take it or leave it attitudes. Something needs to change.
experience very good. He is a very good doctor
I HAVE BEEN A PATIENT AT DR. HARRIS OFFICE FOR FOR OVER 20 YEARS AND WHEN I AM SICK AND NEED TO SEE A DOCTOR. MY FAMILY DOCTOR WHO KNOWS MY HISTORY I AM TOLD TO GO TO URGENT CARE WHERE IT WILL COST MY TRIPLE TO SEE A DOCTOR, MONEY I DO NOT HAVE. THIS BORDERS ON NEGLECT WHEN I HAVE DONE WHAT I AM SUPPOSE AND HAVE A FAMILY DOCTOR BUT AM TOLD I CANNOT SEE THEM. I WAS ALSO TOLD I COULD BE SEEN IN PEMBROKE . THIS IS CRAZY I HAD A FAMILY DOCTOR SO WHEN I WAS SICK I EXPECT TO BE ABLE TO SEE HIM.
