He saved 2 of my children's lives. One was a 1lb 15oz preemie triplet with Esophageal Atresia and Anal Atresia, among the myriad of other defects. The other child is special needs who used to ruminate, and we couldn't keep her hydrated. Dr. Lovvorn did the Nissen Fundiplication and my daughter has been fine since. Dr. Lovvorn is like a member of the family and has even inspired my daughter to become a doctor one day. You could not be in better hands.
He saved our son's life! And we love him for that. Wish we could do a follow up after all these years but our Josh is an adult now. And has had zero problems from his surgery Our son was one of his first patients at Vanderbilt when he came there in 2003. We are very thankful for his expertise on the matter.

The greatest surgeon ever. Wonderful and professional and great with his patients. So blessed to have Dr. Lovvorn as my sons surgeon. Thank you to all the surgery team, all the nurses on each shift and Dr Lovvorn for being so wonderful.
