Mike did an amazing job inspecting a fixer upper for us - with only two days notice! He was very thorough, taught us about things in the house we weren’t familiar with (radiators, attic fans), pointed out things that needed fixing/how to fix them, etc. I would recommend Mike to anyone looking for a well done and thorough inspection. He went above and beyond, much more than just making sure the outlets worked that the last inspector I worked with did.
Mike did the pre sale inspection on our home. He missed a MAJOR issue with the home. There is a 1000 gallon fuel tank in the front yard which has the valve pipe and fill pipe in clear view. When asked about it during inspection he brushed it off as a sewer line.. Anyway 8k later to pull the thing out plus testing of soil and Mike is now ignoring my emails..I would not recommend him. Wow! Mike was absolutely amazing. I can't imagine anyone being able to do a more thorough inspection.
My in-laws hired Mike Harmony to do a home inspection for a house they were purchasing… Aside from him refusing to test for radon (because he says radon is a “hoax”), it seemed like a fairly standard inspection. However, it’s become painfully clear since that he did not do his job at all. For one, he cited problems that weren’t real… Mike said they needed vents installed in the roof.
