I cannot say enough about the service and hospitality we received at Harmon's. A couple Pennsylvanian's and their dog find themselves on the border (Lubec) with a large nail in our tire. Once removed and patched and worked on at every auto shop we could find in the small towns east of Ellsworth, the tire just kept leaking air quickly. We were so worried as to how we'd make it the whole way home to southern PA. We were vacationing in Bar Harbor and heard a noise from our left rear wheel on our 2004 Toyota Sienna. We left it off for road testing thinking it was a bearing or worse. They thoroughly road tested it up to 60 MPH and checked the bearings and other causes. They thought in the end it was a rusted backing plate and must have bent it back in place because when I got it back the noise was fixed. They charged us next to nothing for the service. Since I'm here, I gotta mention how rude and underhanded the staff are at Harmon's. The red-headed counter lady will complain about customers, sigh about her job, and lie about work performed. They balanced my tires, used three wheel weights, and charged me for four. When I payed, the red-head said to her friend, "She got him." Sneaky little #^@%s.
BEWARE – Harmon's Tire told me I needed major repairs (ball joints) that I didn't need. I even requested test results that they couldn't provide. I had the vehicle checked at a dealership for a second opinion and proof for the complaint I filed, sure enough they said my ball joints were perfect , no play whatsoever. I filed a complaint and eventually got my money back. They will lie and try to get you to pay for unnecessary work. While I was there they told 2 other people they needed ball joints.
