Harmel's Ranch Resort is has been family owned and operated since 1956 by the same family. We are a summertime seasonal operation and have 37 cabins that can accommodate up to 150 guests, 22 different floor plans for cabins that can sleep 2 to 9 ppl, some cabins have kitchens and others have just a mini fridge & coffee maker. Can't say enough positives. Great property. Excellent location between the rivers and the reservoir. Quiet and peaceful—away from the zoo that is that other resort in Almont. We fished from our back yard! Cabins are nice (not 5 star but very well-appointed). Wonderful staff. Lovely restaurant. We will be back.
We stayed nearby but went to the resort for the horseback riding. My buddy and myself have not been horseback riding since we were kids so we were a little nervous. Especially knowing the mountainous Terrain. We booked an all day ride. When we got there everybody was nice and helpful and we were told that our guide was Aspen. Aspen was amazing she was friendly and knew her stuff we got more than our money's worth. I would highly recommend the horseback riding at Harmels with Aspen. We love Harmels on the Taylor. Such a peaceful spot with great fishing. Hubby got a 24" rainbow! The cabins are well situated and the staff is fantastic. We will definitely go back :)
We can't wait to come back to this little nugget we stumbled upon. Harmel's has everything you need to relax and enjoy what this area has to offer. The morning breakfast is part of your stay and is super helpful! This place really has it all . Im so glad we found it, and we look forward to coming back. The staff truly works as a team and this place is a Gem!
