EXTREMELY UPSET with this vet hospital. Took my dog there to be spayed and was quoted $450. When I went to pick up my dog- the girl who released her to me knew absolutely nothing about my dog and was completely clueless. She told me to give my dog double the pain medicine that was actually supposed to be given, and told me to call the office the next day to figure out what her recovery would be like because she didn't know. I absolutely LOVE Harleysville Veterinary Hospital!! I have been taking my 2 dogs here for the past 6 years and always receive excellent and prompt care. The entire staff is super friendly and professional. I have never had a problem getting an appointment-even last minute. The place is spotless too. The receptionists are always kind, especially in stressful situations. My lab has had 2 separate overnight stays for injury/illness and they were so compassionate and reassuring. We've been taking our pets to Harleysville Vet. Hospital for 20 years and we've met almost all of the vets on staff. Even though the women working at the desk are extremely busy they are always respectful and patient. They are all very kind and respectful to us and our pets. They are very conscious to our financial expenses as well. They care deeply about the people and their pets. We feel blessed to have such a wonderful place close to home to take our pets to.
Terrible place to take your pets. They are more concerned about how much they can charge you than treating your pets. Know quite a few people who refuse to take their animals there. The front office staff needs to improve their attitudes. They need lessons on how to treat people. They're extremely rude. DO NOT GO HERE.
