I believe he is retired now. Thank goodness. He took me off a medication I had been on for over 20 years. Cold turkey! I ended up in the ER from the side effects of going off this medication. I went to another Dr who then adjusted the dosage and put me back on this medication and everything has been fine! Good ride ce to this quack

Made an appointment a few weeks ago, and called the number on the day of the appointment to confirm. I have been seeing Dr Harkhani for 25 years. He is knowledgeable with diagnosis and treatment of various situations. He carefully makes medication adjustments as needed. I highly recommend using Dr Harkhani as your Psychiatrist.

Omgosh I never bother to leave reviews, but felt compelled to leave a review on the TERRIBLE experience I had today. My primary referred me to Dr. H; I've been under mental health care for 10+ years and my regular psychiatrist is not avail anymore. My chief issue...to find a new doctor to review my meds for efficacy, and to help me find a therapist. Dr. H was horrible!! Dr Harkhani is a wonderful Psychiatrist. He's excellent at: listening patiently, diagnostics, , determining which medications to prescribe, and a wonderful and Kind personality. His staff is kind, friendly and wonderful to work with. I so appreciate his practice.

To be a new patient I was told they would call me that afternoon or the next day. After 3 weeks a call never came. So I called and said forget it.

I wish I could write a review about this Doctor but I never even got an appointment. My therapist called for me to ensure he was accepting new patients and his assistant said yes. This was on 4/26. After having all information sent over and multiple phone calls, plus another trip to the ER, I have no appointment as of 6/13. Same response every time, he still has to review my case and decide if he will see me. I highly suggest seeking help from a place that cares.

He is knowledgeable about medications. What I read in the other review was true, too, about male superiority, but we must consider the culture in which he was raised and educated. He does read from or recite from a list when asking you about symptoms, but that is just his way. Once I was very sad and I said "I could just cry". And he said go ahead. So I did. He has a counselor for talking. He is there to adjust meds. I went to him for years 10 years ago, and recently, I had him in the hospital.
