I ordered a brisket meal. The coleslaw and potato salad were good. On the other hand, the brisket was very fatty and greasy. Not impressed.
Pulled off in Cookeville and found one of those you’re-glad-you-stopped kind of places — Hardwoods Smokehouse Food Truck 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Smoky pulled pork piled high, crisp slaw, soft bun… simple and done right. Loaded mac & cheese with brisket and beans brought big flavor—slightly drier than we prefer, but still delish. Super reasonable price point, picnic table to sit and actually enjoy it, and the kind of friendly, personal service that makes a quick stop even better.
Brisket is a recommendation! Owner is very friendly!
This was the finest Pulled Pork and Brisket that I have had since my favorite home town place closed down. Even better then mine.
