There is just no hardware place like it. This was the type of hardware store I can remember from my youth in Connecticut also known for some old hardware stores and factories now all gone, These places were better than candy stores. Hardwick's contains all possible tools needed to fix something in your home. Moreover, the staff provides excellent customer service both in-person and over the phone; numerous times I have needed to call in order to check their inventory--they will check on both the availability and price of particular items in a quick manner. My brother-in-law worked at Hardwicks over 20 years ago. Loved it then. Proud that they are still going strong.
Best hardware store in the world. Creative problem-solving type employees have always helped me to find the right tool for any project. As a woman, I am never talked down to here as I am in many other hardware stores. Check-out can be slow; worth the wait. Loyal customer for 23 years and counting.
