Since 1976, Hardwick & Sons, Inc. has been run by two of the Hardwick brothers, the eldest, William Dean and the youngest, Dean James. Just a great old fashioned neighborhood hardware store. A nice change from the big box debacle where you can’t find anyone to help you. I can wander around in there for hours.

Favorite hardware store. Found a skeleton key to open my 1920 bookcase. The original key will show up sometime, but it's been on the lamb for 5 years
They got everything new and old, can't find their inventory anywhere else.
Seattle loses part of its soul with the loss of Hardwick's. Shame on the city for allowing this to happen. It is selling its soul.
