We hired Harding in 2023 to design and build a Spanish-style ADU behind our 1920’s home. We tore down our old garage because we needed work-from-home office space, a guest house for visiting family, and an indoor-outdoor bonus room. It needed to match the character of our home, but also reflect our style and the way we live. We built an ADU at our home in the California Heights Historic District that we use for rehearsing and recording music. It also gives our friends and family a place to stay when visiting for the weekend. Sound control was a huge part of the project because we didn’t want to disturb the neighbors or have outside noise affect our recordings. I hired Harding Design & Construction to remodel my 1920 home in Belmont Shore. I bought the house in 2005 and was only the second owner, so keeping its original charm was really important to me. Wes helped open up the small rooms, rework the kitchen and bathroom, and create a second bathroom without losing the original windows and moldings. Wes, Yota, Kyle and their crews rebuilt our back house and saved it from the ground up. Literally replaced the foundation, framing, plumbing, floors, doors, windows, wiring, landscaping and layout. The 100 year old building had been attacked by termites and needed everything to be made ready for the next hundred years. The finished product speaks for itself and is really beautiful.
