My experience with Hard Disk Direct was very bad. Recently in our department at University of Calcutta, one of the labs purchased two units of server RAM at a quoted price. But after the payment was received, the units never arrived and it was told that the account where the money was wire transferred was closed at their end and the amount will be refunded to our university account and for the time being a fresh payment had to be made. This is about the pathetic experience we had while trying to purchase a RAM from Hard Disk Direct. We had no idea they would turn out to be a FRAUD and CHEAT us in such a way that would not only lead us to a financial loss, but also humiliation and damage to our reputation as this purchase was made from the university account. Our experience with Hard Disk Direct has been at best frustrating and at worst abhorrent. We placed an order for RAM on behalf of the University and paid approximately $350 in full only to not recieve the product. Before the purchase was complete, we were communicating frequently with their representative Mark who assured us that the product would be shipped as soon as we completed the payment. Incredibly disappointed. Made an order for 2 SSDs as storage for my food truck. Call a call from a rep a couple hours later doubting that I owned a business and that needed them shipped to the address provided. Wouldn't understand that I can't deliver them to a food truck and felt like I was being accused of lying about my address. Terrible customer service.
They are a very unethical company!!! We have received an order confirmation with a full payment. The sales Kevin Forster come back with a email said the factory do not agree the price and asking for over 20% of price increase. We do not agree and request a full refund, the business head Ian promise a full refund, the account head seemi reply our email said it takes time as they have to do internal transfer from a credit to debit account for the transfer.
