The physical therapy was well done and the staff was knowledgeable. The room was comfortable, especially for guests and visitors. There was plenty of storage and closet space. The amenities they provided were very useful. However, the bed was uncomfortable for my large husband, until they brought in a different model to accommodate his size. Is it normal to have to wait over 4 hours for pain meds? How about waiting 9 hours? Or even 18 hours on Friday! Or not been given a dinner and having to to order a pizza for delivery at 830p at night? Or having one person say its ok to shower by yourself when another says no? Or asking for socks (the cna talked about)? but then same cna changes story to "sorry out of socks til tuesday" Only to ask a nurse about some clean non slip socks moments later and she come back with some of those red non slip socks "that weren't here ... read more
My wife came to Harbour Manor for hospice care from the hospital. This rating is only for the care from Harbour, not the hospice agency who is added to the care team. Harbour was responsible for the day-to-day care of Nancy. First, we were lucky to get a solo room. Most long term care is done in double rooms. We had less stress than people in double rooms. My mother is there now. And has problems daily. The food is awful. The aides take forever to change their briefs. The call lights stay on for well over 30 minutes. And same goes for the meds. I walked the hallway and could see the dust on ledges, even a coffee stain. I have met a few really nice people there. Please help
