I was here for about 4 months. I was there around the time, they had a camping trip and when they canceled giving the staff their food. At the camping trip, I saw just how rich this corporation is. They got rich by giving the bare essentials to the clients and staff. The place is run by a corporation, which owns so many properties across BC that it has so much cash in assets. I have since dropped my rating due to more silly rules and other things occurring at the center. Rather than just complain, I think I'll add things are they to do better. Have security watch outside immediate area, such as people's cars. Treat people how you would like them to be not what you don't want them doing. Positive reinforcement is better than negative instruction. Some people have needs, ignoring them due to rules Is ridiculous. Many people don't have regular amenities, have them on hand... such as a vacuum, coffee... read more

First off, they don't give you enough time to finish your lunch or dinner (15 minutes). Unless you scarf it down to the point you're going to vomit. They have someone on your case telling you you have one minute to finish a full plate of food which goes in the garbage. Because as I was told they feed 800 people/day. I went to the cafeteria several times over the day to check this fact - the place is empty. They prescribe you drugs you don't need.
