If you like tea, you should visit harbor Tea and Spice. Its worth fighting the crowds up Franklin Street just to see their large selection of house-blended teas and ingredients. They make the only dried spruce tip tea we could find south of Anchorage. Super friendly and helpful staff and plenty of freedom to roam the store and take in what they have. Their Samovar blend is one of our favorites, and tastes as good as it smells!
Decent selection of spices, dried herbs and flowers for teas, a few essential oil products, and loose-leaf tea blends (both generic as well as a few specialty ones using native Alaskan plants). The guy working the day we were there was super friendly and helpful and not pushy at all. He was happy to talk to you and help find what you're looking for (even if they didn't have it, but he knew someone else in town might!)
