Love this place best group therapy experience first time in my life I finally found something that helped :)
The details of my experience are Branches West Sacramento offered the advocacy I've been needing in the 11 years I've been in Sacramento County. Its very much welcoming because the staff of 4 or 5 are the right people for this area of care. Noah is a gem. He kindly had all the answers. The program structured in a way that works for everyone. I know I read some negative reviews before attending PHP here, had me a little nervous as I was in a very troubled place and very much in need of help. I had just finished Kaisers virtual IOP which was far from helpful and escalated to in person PHP here. I also know that everyone has their own experiences and feelings to go along with them, other people's negative feelings aren't invalid it just was not at all my experience. Really nice open facility. The staff are great and easy to talk to. Grateful for the opportunity to have this resource.
I remember being really afraid to be part of a PHP but it was actually wonderful and I had a wonderful psychiatrist and counselor. I was very fortunate to meet friends in my group who I can talk to about the real real. You can end the program whenever you want but then you might have to talk to your insurance to start it over again. You also are not forced to stay the night. Food was sometimes hit or miss but I was grateful to be able to have lunch everyday without needing to think about it.
