Disappointed in the service. My brother gave a valid ID one day after his birthday of turning 21, and Happy’s would not let him buy. Giving him a bogus reason of not having a landscape oriented ID.

This is a weird time, but we are still required to follow responsible alcohol sales laws which legally obligates us to check both birthdate and expiration dates on a customer’s form of identification. If you check the date on your brother’s license you will see that it is indeed expired, which makes his license invalid. Great staff, alway willing to help.
the staff was very welcoming and helpful coming into the store. there is a wide selection of alcohol available for anyone and any occasion. The staff also tries their best to order liquors not immediately available upon requests. Will continue to purchase my alchohol there in the future.
Today I called in to ask if Happy's had any Peach Crown in stock... (long shot I know). 😆 Although they were out, the staff was super patient and didn't seem the least bit annoyed by my naiive request. In fact, the worker actually took the time to explain to me the whole process of acquiring liquor in Iowa and why it was so difficult to get. It might not seem like much but it meant a lot.
