Owners are not neighborly in any way. They actually threatened to call the cops on a child in distress that was having major car troubles instead of offering any help. Do not shop here - Al’s garden & home, ECOVIBE, Tony’s and Dennis 7 Dees are all small growers you can support instead of these crazy boomers.
Showed up and no one was around, kinda creepy. Plants were sparse. Buildings looked dilapidated. Didn’t have vegetable type of plants. If you want some of the super common flower and landscape type plants then that’s kinda what they have but not a lot of selection.
Every time we have gone here it has been a JOY. Nice people, nice small shop. They like people who like plants and we have been rewarded for our enthusiasm and love for their shop. We have been gifted cuttings to propagate, 10% off a hanging basket on the spot (we couldn’t decide on one we loved them all), and a free succulent when we were leaving. Show enthusiasm and respect when you visit this sweet little shop and they will reciprocate.
It’s sad that a small business would discourage customers from coming in by treating them rudely and asking that they leave if they have no plans to buy anything. I have walked into businesses many times to take a look, maybe not making a purchase that day, but may come back later to buy something. Business owners need to know that rude customer service spreads quickly. It’s really sad that you treat people this way.
My dad is an older guy who likes to walk through and look at all the plants. He said when he was there recently the owner lady told him “if you’re not going to buy anything then don’t come back.” She made him feel sad and gave him the feeling of being discriminated against. It was very disturbing to hear.
