I have been using Happy Pools and Spa for over 7 years, and they have come through for my special needs. I have moved my Thermospa, which is a higher-end "hot tub," 3 times, and one time had to have it weatherproofed over one of the moves until my house was ready, and they even handled the transport and coordinated with my moving company, and have saved me from having to spend more! A few hiccups with timing because of weather but overall great pool company
My hot tub needed a main pump replacement, as determined by Johnny. There was no confusion or wasted time in troubleshooting, and the problem was quickly assessed. On his recommendation, since already there, we ordered two temp sensors that were likely going to be needing replacement as a preventative measure. We hired this company for a pool repair project and paid $11,000. While they did start some of the work, they never completed the job and stopped responding to all communication. Unfortunately, they took the money and disappeared without finishing what was agreed upon. I do not recommend working with this business due to our experience with being ghosted mid-project.
The team started a job last August 2024 for my parents' place in Skokie. It's an older pool that needed the piping redone. This part happened and the job was well done, however this June 2025 they have not returned to close out the final parts of the repair and paint the pool. It sounds like the team came for a short visit a few weeks ago and left without conducting any work. The hottest week is upon us and the pool is empty.
