I’m loving Happy Place so far!! I was offered refreshments when I came in which I very much appreciated while waiting for my stylist to finish up. Speaking of my stylist, I love love working with Shea! I’ve come to them for my short curly hair several times now and they do fantastic work. It’s been very collaborative and I feel like my hair looks better every time I come back! Would heavily recommend them if you’re looking for gender affirming/queer cuts by a stylist you can trust
Shea is the best!! She is always receptive and collaborative when planning a cut and makes you feel comfortable from beginning to end. I deeply appreciate she knows how to work with my wavy hair too. Can’t recommend her enough

I had a haircut with Heath and couldn’t be happier with the result He listened to me with care and knowledge, and gave me the perfect shag haircut on my straight, medium-length hair. It is exactly what I wanted - textured layers with a beautiful volume. Heath’s presence is also great - calm, kind, and clearly knowledgeable. The whole experience from start to finish was easy and enjoyable. I’m super happy and will definitely be back. Highly recommend 100%!
I will follow hair stylist, Heath to the ends of the earth and pay him whatever money he asks for. The feathery hairstyle I've been looking for has only been achieved at Happy Place. I have tried several spots throughout Brooklyn. Everyone at Happy place is very talented, more people need to know about this spot. But maybe not! Save me a slot Heath!
