Waited months for a referral to “ be approved” . I was told it wasn’t approved then I receive a letter from the insurance company stating it was approved then Ohana dental tells me it needs to be looked over. I waited 3 months for this referral and I still have to wait for it to be looked at. Bad business and frustration!

My 19 year old son is Autistic/ Non Verbal and has been going to Ohana smiles since they first opened this office in the Mac Center. The staff was not helpful with my questions regarding trying to charge me $250.00 for GA services in the office visit setting that my son needs for treatment for his teeth. My son receives Medicaid Dental services and Medicaid patients should not be billed for office visits when it is covered with their insurance as this is considered fraud and balance billing. I took my autistic, mostly non-verbal 16-year-old son to Happy Ohana Smiles. It was a Great experience. They were very patient and friendly. My son was comfortable, calm, happy, and let them clean his teeth. At his previous dentist he had to be held down for his cleaning. Not at Happy Ohana. Thank you!
