RecommendedHaven’t been to HJ’s in Urbandale in 7 years and glad to hear they have new owner! Ordered take out tonight and it is PERFECT!!! Happy Joe’s Special is the BEST!! Can’t wait for you all to branch out into the metro.
Went into this restaurant to order carry out. Brought my 7 year old daughter who asked to use the restroom. They said no that they could not allow. Needless to say my daughter had an accident before we could anywhere else. Stay classy Happy Joe’s. Hope your policies are making you feel great. For Christ sake it was a 7 year old little girl.
Supreme taco pizza with no black olive and no onion.. skimped out completely on the sour cream. it's been years but it'll definitely be the last time. pizza was just gross. not even coming back for the free pizza comped for the order misunderstanding. waste of time to drive across town. waste of money.
I am originally from Davenport, Is and been eating Happy Joe's pizza for so many years, and tonight was my 1st time ever ordering here in Urbandale, Is and it was terrible. The 1st time I received my food in which was 1/2 taco 1/2 works delivered burnt and I called DeMarco said that was normal so I sent him pics of what the pizza looked like and he apologized and had another pizza delivered in which that one looked the same. So we ordered pizza and were told 40 minutes. I showed up right around then. While trying to get my credit that we were owed from last time, the man talking the order had to keep talking to the manager, who I could hear say they weren’t going to honor it tonight because they were “swapped”. I had mention the credit when I placed the order. Clearly they were in a pickle because the delivery driver had to pick up someone to help from a bar. Awful service, ordered pizza with mushrooms went got there to pick up was told out of mushrooms so none on it, when got home wasn't even the right pizza. Was told would give us credit for 2 since paid for 1 then for the inconvenience. When tried to order the 2 was told only had 1 credit and gal on phone was rude called us awful for trying to get our 2 free pizzas and argued with us. Needless to say we won't be back here until some changes are made.
Terrible ordered a pizza delivery hour & 1/2 called told us it would be 20 more minutes they were behind now 1/2 hour later we called said it would be another 25 minutes!! Now why didn’t they say at 6:00 it would be be 2 hours then!!! Now almost 8:00 & we haven’t eaten!! The point be Honest & tell us how long it was really going to be!!!!���
