My daughter developed horrific reflux when she was two months old, and by the time she was 3 months, she'd been diagnosed with failure to thrive as she was back down to her birth weight; it was very scary and upsetting. We were seeing our pediatrician weekly and a pediatric gastroenterologist and trying everything to get her weight up. I decided to make an appointment with an infant feeding specialist and found Charlene at Happy Hungry Hippos. On our initial call, just from listening to what we were going through (very painf... read more

When we came to Charlene my 3 year old had been in a previous food therapy facility for over a year. With little progress, other than she started eating solids again from choking trauma. I could count on one hand the foods she would eat (including snacks). NO MEAT at all, no veggies or fruits either. At the first consultation Charlene got her to eat humus, peperoni, and chew a carrot stick. Charlene has been great with our baby Amelia! Eating has been a constant battle with our 14 month old and she has showed us some great tips and tricks to get her to eat. We still have a ways to go but she’s come a long way in only a few weeks!!! She also found her lip tie that we had absolutely no idea about!

We spent a total of 2 years total between 2 facilitates ( one that is a huge name for Autism therapy) and haven't seen anything close to what we've seen in the short amount of time we've been at Happy Hungry Hippos. The growth in just a few weeks is unreal! I was referred years ago by my sons speech therapist and I wish we came sooner. Mrs. Charlene is the perfect mix of loving and stern and my son L... read more

We highly recommend SOS feeding therapy with Charlene. She is welcoming, professional, and an expert in the field of helping children try new foods. She trains the parents as much as the children for what is expected and needed in order to create healthier eating habits at home. The more we went to see her, the more progress my 2 boys made. She gave us hope and practical skills when we felt lost and stuck in old patterns of behavior. My boys will try everything in therapy meals with Charlene, when they refused to try the sam... read more
