Tent sites are bunched right against the side of a run down looking trailer court. No actual tent pads were present. Just a grassy area with one fire pit and a picnic table to serve a number of “sites”. The campground had a lot of street type lights that stayed on all night which were pretty annoying. The bathroom and shower house was clean. The apparent owner was nice.
Absolutely great people! We were even staying on there grounds and they welcomed us, got us exactly what we needed, and directed us wherever we needed to go! They will be a normal stop for us anytime we are in the area!!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Above and Beyond Hospitality! I can’t say enough good things about Happy Holiday RV Park! The gentleman who helped me out went above and beyond, and I genuinely appreciate it. It’s rare these days to come across someone who’s willing to go out of their way to help a complete stranger. Just stayed here on our camping trip to South Dakota last week. I chose this campground due to its convenient location right along US Highway 16 across and up the road from popular and kid-friendly attractions like Reptile Gardens, the Dinosaur Museum and Rushmore Candy CO. Plus it's just a quick 10 minute drive up the road to gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants and downtown Rapid City.
