I will never understand why a store raises prices and yet still has low quality food the lettuce tasted a day old Tomatoes had no flavor and the chicken was extremely thin breaded with like Walmart bread crumbs. Like why would they sell the initial place to whoever owns it now it's quite evident that they do not care about the quality of food yet they're still charging customers as if this is a premium Deli. Then they have the nerve to leave a bunch of fake reviews on here like come on.
Don't listen to the fake reviews by obvious fake accounts I'm going to give you the real deal I have lived on Long Island for 30 years. I really want to rate this place higher because the person who works there is very nice she is an extremely customer center of person and even offered me a free snack when I went in. Disappointed to find no German staff in what’s billed as a German deli. Not because that’s required, but the food didn’t even meet German standards. The schnitzel was overly greasy, with oil that tasted old. I felt sick shortly after. Not what I expected from a place with this name and reputation.
Went in to buy a water and the woman there was so kind. 1 large water was 3.50 expensive but she was kind
I’ve been going to Handsteds for years. The new version is a regular deli with Korean dishes. The food is good and I eat there every day. Prices are very reasonable
