We were driving our Class A diesel motorhome from Grand Junction South to Montrose when we lost speed and could not get above 30mph. We were able to make it to Delta and called Darren who came to us from Olathe. He ran codes which said the engine had slightly overheated. He cleared the codes and they followed us to their shop. However, the RV coded to turn off the engine again. Darren tried to run a regeneration and then it appeared that oil was coming out of the tailpipe. These guys replaced the radiator in my long-nose Pete in record time. There is no real bathroom on site nor, do they want you to stay there overnight after you get fixed. If this place were trying to cater to over the road guys I would give them one less start; but, they are not so i don't want to lessen their reading. This is a good shop. They're is no lobby, the nearest hotel is 10 miles away in Montrose; nearest truck stop is Blair's 11 miles away on the other side of Montrose, which is not a bad town to explore while you... read more
My Cummins diesel motorhome was overheating. Hansens cleaned out the back side of the radiator ($560). The engine immediately overheated into the red when I went up elevation. Hansen's said they needed to pull the radiator as I probably had an internal block. 12-16 labor at $200/hr. I asked if it could be the thermostat and he said no. I asked why he thought it wasn't the thermostat and I didn't get an answer.
