I had an extremely frustrating experience dealing with this claims department. Over the course of nearly two months, I was asked to provide detailed information and respond to multiple questions, including repeatedly being asked the same basic questions that had already been answered clearly in writing. We've had a great experience with Hanover Insurance for about 15 years. Our agent, Donna, has consistently found us the most affordable rates for auto & homeowners, which is no small feat these days. I was hit by another driver last year on my way home from work. Donna took my call from the accident scene, and provided great counsel on what to do next, as I was in a bit of a panic. I highly recommend Hanover, and Donna P.!
I've dealt with other insurance companies and Hanover claims department is hands down better and easier to work with
They offered a discount to have direct debit from my account and then over the next 2 years more than doubled my rates knowing that I wasn't watching the payments. This year they tried to charge me $15600 for 3 cars and a house. I got the same coverage quotes from AllState, Geico, and Progressive, all for LESS THAN HALF of what they were charging. They are complete scammers.
I don't know why or what this office is for if in the end they don't help you at all. They don't even let you in. There's just an answering machine outside and that's it.
