I have had concerning symptoms for the past two months. It is now 9/2025. Novant Gastro cannot schedule me to even see a Tech. until December 1, 2025. The second time I called and left a message with the nurses station explaining my symptoms. They sent a note back to the receptionist who called and repeated that there are no appointments till December 1. Of course it would be different if I had no issues. Called Wilmington Health Gastro and thankfully will be seeing a physician in two weeks.

Don't expect help from this office. After being scheduled out to June 11th from April for a phone call, I was called on the morning of Wednesday, June 11, and told I would be rescheduled to 4 pm Friday, June 13. I received texts and emails confirming and asking if I had arrived yet. I called the gastroenterology office at 3:50 and was told that everything was fine, I didn't need to be at the office, just wait for the phone call. I did. I had a visit with PA, Mary Lawrence. Completely disappointed in everything. She was cold with very uncaring tone. Did not like me asking questions and honestly made me feel like I was wasting her time. Why am I going to the doctor if they don't care about my health how am I supposed to? For the 10 minutes I'm in that office they could at least pretend to care!

I accompanied my son on his first appointment with Guzel Jansen, AGNP. While she was a little late getting to us, I could see right away why. She took her time during the exam, asked a lot of appropriate questions to ensure she had the correct information and ultimately recommended a very thorough workup. She is the first GI practitioner that was familiar with my son's case before walking in the exam room.
