good selection of kimchee We always shop here when my parents come for a visit because my Dad is a kimchee addict. He likes the Matnani kimchi they offer here the best. They also have a decent produce section as well.
great selection's they're main advantage the santa clara and sunnyvale el camino real area has three major korean supermarkets: galleria plaza, hangook market, and gyopo shijang. i don't go to gyopo much simply because it doesn't look as clean (although it's probably just as good as the other two). i frequent hangook and galleria quite a bit. hangook market has the best variety, as it's the biggest of the three. the deli there's alright and the mini bbanggoobneun maeul bakery's awesome. i don't wear fur, so i don't patronise... read more
groceries Hankook supermarket is really located in the area of El camino where there are a lot of Korean businesses, its even been nicknamed Sunnyvale's own Korea town. They sell many foods that have actually been imported from Korea, unfortunatley that makes them a little more expencive, but still very much affordable. They sell some fruits anf vegetables. They also have meat which is almost always below the prices of Regular American giant supermarkets.
Great selection of Korean and other Asian grocery Very clean, and well established Korean/Asian market. Usually can find some good specials, and they also bring in vendors to display and give out samples of their products. Prices are good as well. We usually make twice monthly trips there.
They have everything I usually stop by Hankook whenever I eat in Cupertino. It's location is perfect for people who live in Santa Clara and Cupertino. The employes are always extra nice, I think it's store policy. In addition to the Asian food products and fresh meat and vegitables, Hankook also has a cell phone store, clothing store, music store, and herbal medicine shop within. That makes it a great one stop shopping center if you need to do a lot of things quickly. My only complaint is parking, but I guess it's not to bad... read more
Big Korean Supermarket This is one of the biggest Korean supermarket in the bayarea. You can find alot of korean products here and sometime they have food tasting tables set up in the store. They also sell really good pre-mixed dishes, like bbq sliced beef, which is good for bbq. There are lot of produce choices too. Prices here are reasonable. The big cons is they are really lack of parking lots.
I love this place. Really great place to shop for kimchi and soju. Their fish is top class.
