We only stopped in for a few Oysters on special and a couple cocktails while we did our own little food tour. Despite it being crazy hot, my husband ordered the she crab soup... and oh my gosh, it was the best I've ever had! That's saying a lot since I live near the Chesapeake Bay with many places claiming to have the best! Service was fantastic and even though we spent little time there, I can only imagine what a full dinner experience would be like!
This was our second time dining at Hanks. Our first visit in 2022 was the celebrate our 49th wedding anniversary, most recently to celebrate my birthday. Our first visit resulted in a 5 star review as did our most recent visit. Housed in a 100 year old renovated warehouse the setting is sophisticated dining but not snooty. Service provided by our server Drew was excellent. We shared two appetizers , crab cakes and tuna tartar. We enjoyed entrees of roasted grouper and seared tuna. Carrying around a dairy allergy sucks. It limits my choices and normally ostracizes me to the worst a menu has to offer. However, Hank’s supplied me with a menu that hit top marks. Their roasted grouper with some kind of Dairy free, horseradish, mustard goodness was just simply delectable. Congrats my peeps you are wonderful. I will come back..a lot!!!
The service and quality of food is above the line. It's the best
