Hanger Clinic Taos. Hours are posted as 8:00 am-5:00 pm. We arrived on Friday afternoon and no one was in the office. The next day the office manager called to say that X must have gone home for the afternoon. We arrive on Monday at about 2:00 pm to find a note on the door "Closed for Inventory" . The note wasn't there the business day before to warn clients not to come by. This was very very undatisfactory because we live rurally and must drive 40 mins to get to Hanger Taos. Poor office management.
I tore my right ACL while skiing in March, had ACL reconstruction in May and Hanger Clinic did an amazing job getting and fitting me with a proper knee brace. I ended up getting braces for both knees to mitigate a future ACL tear. Yvonne and her staff knew exactly what I needed and fit me with knee braces that aren't bulky and give my knees fantastic support. I can't wait to try the braces out this ski season! Yvonne was the best! I travel a lot & have been to numerous Hanger Clinics in the US. Of all the prosthetists I’ve dealt with over the years, she was by far my favorite in her interpersonal communication & sensitivity to my mobility needs. Also, an extra shout-out to Alex in reception!
I’ve lived in Taos, NM for 7 years now. It is a beautiful place to live, and I love it. Save for the fact that sometimes it is very difficult to find all the aspects of good health care done professionally here. It’s just a small town. But my Hangar Clinic experience was the best representative of good, professional and kind help that I’ve found here. Thank you Hangar Clinic! My devices are perfect because you were determined to help me. I wish all my medical needs could be handled so well!
