We’ve been coming to the Hanford House for many years and have always enjoyed the stay, but… Our last stay was in 2023 and come to find out that the property was sold that year to Ali Ward who operates the “Zella Collection”. Let me list a few things that need attention: - Bathroom lighting is awful. I couldn’t see enough to put my contacts in. Two little bulbs that appear to be 25 watt. - Sink wouldn’t drain - A 30” TV in a sizable room is ridiculous. - When I made our reservations I asked the person to please put us in a q... read more

My wife and I have been going here for years and have never been let down. Lovely rooms, comfortable beds, very clean. Staff has always been friendly and attentive and the price is reasonable! If you stay on weekdays you get breakfast at the attached eatery, Element, which is very good. The drop scones off by your door each morning as a fun little treat! My only gripe on our last trip was that the restaurant seemed a bit understaffed and our room had a lot of spiderwebs in the ceiling which could be cleaned and add a lot to ... read more
Very clean rooms in well-stocked with amenities that you would need. It's located very close to downtown where everything is happening at Sutter's Creek. The staff is very friendly, accommodating and helpful
Nice, clean and comfortable. Good food in the restaurant.
