Have someone come out and provide a quote for work that needs to be done and ensure they are clear on what they can do and how long it will take. Make sure they provide detailed information so you and the company are on the same page. Ensure someone is home while work is conducted to monitor progress and make sure work is completed to your satisfaction, otherwise contact management.

As the owner, I inspected the work that was done. All of the work was done well. The front door was adjusted to latch properly, touch up painting was done perfectly, and a crack in the master bath was taped, floated, textured and painted to match perfectly. We charged her for 4 hours instead of 5.5 hours for any confusion on the scope and time to complete the work. We went out of our way to make things right due to any confusion on the scope.
