I recently partnered with Carol, communicating across the ocean as I reside in Spain, in finding the perfect gift for my Dad, who lives in the High Country region of NC. Found the perfect gift for my sister in-law, a beautiful necklace made by the local artist Alice Vines. Carol the owner was nice and friendly. One of the nicest stores in Blowing Rock and one of a kind merchandise.

We purchased two clocks made from Handtiques. These were made from old phonograph records. Carol was incredibly helpful at finding the perfect records and designs to customize the clocks exactly like we wanted. She and Tom were wonderful to work with and went above and beyond in their efforts to make sure we were more than satisfied. We will be visiting Handtiques every time we go to Blowing Rock!

Carol and Tom worked with me on a custom order which turned out excellent! The talent of the various artists that they carry in the shop offers beautiful and handmade gifts or home items. In particular, Tom is a very talented wood craftsman, and he can make unique individual pieces. It is a true blessing to have handmade options right here in Blowing Rock - all in one shop!!
