Went in for a couples massage on Valentines Day. The room was tiny for $140 per person! You couldn’t even walk around in there. My husband rated his massage 4 stars and mine was a 2 star so I am giving the overall experience 3 stars. I asked my massage therapist to concentrate on my lower back and she spent maybe 2-3 minutes on my back. She also kept getting up. I definitely did not get a 50 minute massage. Won’t be returning.
It’s taken me a few days to write this review because of how emotionally disturbed I was by what happened when I went to the spa. My partner purchased a gift certificate for me for a Swedish massage and a facial. The session started regular enough with the masseuse, asking me about areas of where I may have some pain, when was the last time that I had a massage and my fitness level. Martin is a gem of a massage therapist. His extensive knowledge of the muscles, tendons, ligaments and bones and how they all work together inform his healing as he instinctively targets tightness, stiffness and pain that you didn't even know you had. I have never had a massage therapist who could accomplish as much as Martin does in a 50 minutes session. Martin is truly gifted in the art and science of massage therapy.
