Following the other reviewers comments - the prices are bad and the staff is rude! I found a dress I really liked but it was $30! At a thrift store!?!? Not a consignment shop. The zipper was broken and I knew I could fix it at home. So I went to the counter and asked if I could have it for $10. The lady looked in shock when I tried to bargain with her. It's cluttered, but they have cleaned up the toy area finally. Hopefully the rest of the store will get tidied up as well. Like someone else said, the girls working there can be a little snooty/rude. BUT - if you are very careful to only shop 1/2 price deals, and inspect whatever you're buying VERY carefully, you can get some good deals. They will accept literally anything someone donates - holes, stains, missing pieces, broken, and all. So like I said, be very careful. Over the last 10 years I have visited the store. FINALLY they cleaned up the isles so you could at least walk tru them. It's aqlways dirty in there, and most of the female workers are cranky, especially the owner as well as the "manager" Tammy who I would call RUDE, and obnoxious. The prices are to high for a thrift store, and the only way to pay "thrift store prices" is on the storewide 1/2 price days. Even then, they exclude Items that should be 1/2 price. I have been to Hands of Friendship several times for different items. I would say it is really crowded in this store but there is a great variety of items and I have found something every time I have been there! It is a great store for finding items like you would find at a garage sale.
