Their Pumpkin Pecan is wonderful. Just loaded with nuts!!! Put a scoop on a Jubilee Pumpkin donut, add whip cream and carmel sauce. Oh my goodness. what a great Thankinsgiving treat.
I personally love the ice cream, but the owners and their son (who is the general manager) definitely make it a place I don't want to go. The general manager is abusive to his employees, sexually harasses the female workers (who are 15 to 16 year old girls btw!!!), and he treats customers with such disrespect. I would recommend not going to Handel's, go to Cold Stone or Dairy Queen where the owners care about their customers and employees! For customers to be happy, the employees have to be happy as well. Delicious ice cream in lots of different flavors - definitely worth a little bit of extra travel time to enjoy.
The ice cream is very well made and it tastes amazing. You can tell that their icecream is made daily. Would recommend this place for any icecream lover.

At this stand in the line ice cream store you must know the rules, but they are not posted! Our family was standing in this terribly long line and when a window opened up we stepped up. The man in front of us in the big long line started making rude comments about how we were "jumping" line. The big line was at another window. It seems that everyone stands at the big long line at the center window and if another window opens up, then the next person in the long center line goes up to that window. One of the few places you can get fresh homemade ice-cream. You can taste the difference! Once you try it, you'll be spoiled for life.
I can't believe no one has reviewed Handels yet. It is great all round
My children & I had a wonderful experience with a employee named Emily if all the employees are line her we will be back to this store.
