I'm OG Handel's from the Boardman/Youngstown area, so it's very nice to have one in the Mayfield area. My wife saw a TikTok featuring the Buckeye flavor which is what prompted us to visit. She was not disappointed. I tried the Banana Cream Pie, which was very good. It was a little busy, but nothing too long. It was about $11 for our order.
Wow! So many delicious flavors to choose from! This was my first visit and will not be my last!
I haven't had a really good turtle sundae in awhile. East Coast Custard (Lyndhurst) hasn't been good even before the renovation and Mitchell's for what they charge isn't worth it. Handel's is an absolute revelation. The turtle sundae in fact tasted like what I believe a turtle sundae should taste like. Let's start with the hot fudge. So disappointing they have no vegan flavor ice cream. Damn I really wanted sum good non dairy ice cream today.
