Dr Marshall Balk, is one of the best hand & shoulder doctors in Pittsburgh.Also he has great bedside manners.
Dr. Balk is very knowledgeable and personable. I’ve seen him multiple times for various conditions and he has helped every time. He tends to take a more conservative approach initially which I appreciate. When my daughter broke her elbow I took her to Dr. Balk and he was able to fix it without surgery. His staff is very welcoming and accommodating. Wait time is minimal. I highly recommend Dr. Balk for any upper extremity issues.
My appointment was at 9am. I waited for 45 minuets for Dr Marshall Balk and never saw him. I had other commitments at 11am so I had to leave without being seen because it was taking too long. I’m sure he’s a nice guy- but I never met him because of the amount of time I wasted just waiting for him in a room. I understand to be seen by any doctor, it takes time, but to have an early appointment and waiting that long was ridiculous. Finally, after 4.5yr & 4 surgeries...a doctor who listens & set forth a great plan of attack...one that doesn't involve yet another surgery!
