I do not recommend Dr. Randolph Lopez or Hand Surgery Specialists of Texas. We brought our son in for a hand fracture and experienced rude, dismissive, and unprofessional behavior from the start. Dr. Lopez made condescending comments to my child and insinuated we could not afford needed care because we are self pay. At our follow up appointment, the office failed to tell us their x ray machine was down even though imaging was required. We were forced to rush to another facility at our own expense. We were also given conflict... read more

Made and appointment to discuss MRI results at the recommendation of my GP. Dr Lopez read the results, explained nothing, didn’t give me any info on what was going on with my wrist / hand or why. Didn’t even bother to explain the MRI or what it meant. Insinuated I was lying about having an ultrasound until I pulled it up in mychart and insinuated I couldn’t afford his medical grade brace. Passed me off to one of his colleagues at a different location after I paid $100 and waited 30 minutes for literally no info. I also heard... read more

Dr. Lopez was awesome with his recmmendation of the Ensemble thumb implant. The other surgeons that I went to wanted to perform a old style surgery that had a long recovery time and would result in some thumb weakness. The the recovery was weeks instead of months. I couldn't be more satisfied. Dr. Lopez took time to explain all of the available proceedures fully so I would be able to make the best decission.

I came in for an issue with my thumb locking up randomly (apparently it’s called trigger finger). I didn’t even know that was a thing. They were super friendly, explained what was going on, and gave me both non-surgical and surgical options. I went with a quick procedure, and it fixed the problem just like that. Barely any downtime. I’m so grateful I didn’t ignore it any longer.

From the moment I walked in, I could tell I was in good hands, punintended! Everyone was so kind and patient. I went in for some weird numbness in my fingers that had been going on for a while. Honestly, I was nervous it would be a big deal, but the doctor took his time, did a throughly exam ,and explained everything clearly. Turned out to be a carpel tunnel, and he helped me figure out the best treatment. It's been a few weeks, and i already feel a huge difference. I am so grateful I came here.
