Absolutely unacceptable customer service. As someone who was formerly an assistant manager for the same company, I fully understand the credit card policy and the importance of securing appointments. However, policy does not excuse incompetence or poor communication. The appointment was already booked, and your front desk staff failed multiple times to properly process my credit card information because their own system was down.
