Go to Walmart instead I just went into this store last week looking for some fabric. I wandered around the store for 20 minutes. Not once did the staff ask if they could help me. I had to interrupt a "group chat" the staff was having in order to ask a question. The women who "helped" me was rude and condecending and when answering a question about how much fabric I needed for a project she underestimated the amount by yards. I enjoy shopping here! This is the best general fabric store in southeastern North Carolina. The store is very clean and I find the sales people attentive and polite. Most sewers enjoy browsing and don't require too much attention. Pattern selection is OK - tho only the usual national brands. Good basic selection of quilting and garment fabrics. Also decent home dec. Hancocks has constant sales - helps with otherwise somewhat high prices. I shop here constantly - once or twice a week for years. If you want heirloom sewing or... read more

Great Selection .. Not always friendly employees I love this store. They sell fabrics, great selction, and decorating items, okay-pricy selction. I have not had great help from the employees. But I'll keep going back because its the only choice in jacksonville.

Hancock Fabrics This is a decent place to go for the variety of fabrics and other related items. Everything is very well organized. Very creative .. lots of decorative pieces that they made that are for sale. Their prices to me are quite high! I found a lot of fabric for next to nothing, but the pattens or quality were not to my liking - cheap for cheap. The good fabric was just over priced. Everything is cleaned there and ample parking. I will not rate the store itself having not been in there but I will rate the attitude of the employee I just called there. I called and said "Hi. I was wondering if you could help me. Yesterday I bought some firefighter..........." she cut me right off and said "Nope we don't have any." "Uh ok but I was not looking for that.
