I am so sad this store is closing. They are a great resource & have more of a hometown feel. Be sure to stop in before they close!
Slow service and material 4 inches too short for what I ordered and paid for. Store selection was good and prices are good. Employees need a little training on customer service when it is busy in the store. You can offer great service without a 15 minute conversation. It took 50 minutes to get my material cut and I was the 5th person in line. Some customers behind me actually left.
Sales Associate Rebecca not only helped me find fabric, she also helped me find thread that matched it. Whereas some of the older sales associates at Hancock Fabrics can be a little snarky, Rebecca was nice and personable. She also helped us figure out our mobile coupons. :] I hope she stays working at this store because her being there made me want to visit it again. I hope Hancock Fabric's hires more people like her. I love to go to hancock they have the best selection ever and I'm always on in the best sales I go only on the days when they have the sales and I can get a lot of fabric for such a little money I've got to sell machines there and I really enjoy it here I could spend the whole day looking for 90% 80% I can't wait to go on Black Friday where I am makin poor kids coats out of place and it will be 260 for a yard with coupon
I have always found this store to be understaffed so I expect long delays when I run in for a "quick" trip to grab some fabric or notions. Unfortunately I will NOT be back after my experience today. I purchased EXPENSIVE embroidery thread last night because the usual place I purchase it from was closed at the time. I attempted to use it on my machine and it was HORRIBLE.
