My local sushi place – Reasonably priced sushi in bland atmosphere. Food is great. Restaurant has noticeably went downhill since last year. Is there a new owner? But still love it though. There are nicer designed places, but I love the food at Hana.
reluctantly appreciative – I go here at least twice a week, but sometimes I wonder why. I ordered chicken tempura once and it wasn't fried(!). The green tea is always burnt and bitter. I am constantly handed the check before I can order dessert. But most of the time, I like the food. I just try to stick with the sushi, they don't seem to be lacking in that area. Great lunch specials – I've been to Hana Sushi for lunch a few times recently. The lunch options are great and very reasonable. Get there early though because it fills up quickly.
Pretty bad – Not worth it, even for a quick meal. The sushi is tasteless, the wasabi tasted off (and when I complained about it, the waiter asked me if it was "too spicy"). When I told another waitress the meal wasn't great when she asked, she just said, "OK, thank you". Don't bother. There's enough good sushi in the City to waste time here.
